In the course of my research into the genealogy of Margaretha's birth family, I have discovered in various documents that members of the family have chosen a variety of ways to spell their surname: Dienstbier, Dinstbier, Dinsbier or Dinsbeer. For somewhat arbitrary reasons, I have decided to use only Dienstbier when referring in general to members of this family in this web site and in the genealogy database, unless I am quoting from a document which employs one of the other forms of the family name.
