Date of birth obtained in 2004 from genealogical data posted at RootsWeb.com by J. Mark Fiegenbaum (footnote 6, page 7). Place of birth from Schröer family oral tradition: "According to the great granddaughter of Engel Maria Beickman, her grandmother, Alwina Schroer Griesinger Korspeter always told her that the Beickman's came from Buckeborg, Hanover, Germany. They lived in a castle. Maria's job in the castle was to tend the geese" (page 1) [the great granddaughter mentioned here is Virginia Buddemeyer, mother of Chandra A. (Miller) Hoffman].
