The date of the marriage to "Miss Henrietta Riechers" is noted in a newspaper obituary for 'Henry Fred Fiegenbaum' in the Higginsville Advance, Higginsville, Lafayette County, Missouri on Friday Febraury 9, 1923. A marriage license issued at Lexington, Lafayette County, Missouri on 31 March 1902 to Theo. Temple [sic], of Mayview, Lafayette County, Missouri, who was over the age of 21 years and Emma Starkebaum, of Higginsville, Lafayette County, Missouri, who was over the age of 18 years.
The return certified that "Theo. H. Hoefer," "ordained minister of the Gospel," did marry the above name persons at Higginsville, Lafayette County, on 3 April 1902 and filed the Certificate of Marriage with the County Recorder on 4 April 1902.
