      For [Katherine?] Mayer. "________ Mayer, geb. Etlinger geliebte Gattin von John Mayer,...ging ein zur ewigen Ruhe nach längerem Leiden am Montag, den 27. Januar 1908,.... Die Tiefbetrübte Familie:...Charlotte Bowe, geb. Muehlemann, To____" (Charlotte Bowe, nee Muehelmann). The end of the last word is missing from the newspaper clipping. It would appear to be the German word, Tochter (daughter). From an undated and unidentified [St. Louis?] German-language newspaper clipping in the possession of the Gerber family of St. Louis, Missouri.
