Mother (maiden name): Marie Eckardt, born in Missouri. Died 4:00 p.m. on 25 February 1914 at City Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 36 years, 9 months, 8 days. He had been at the hospital for 2 days. The usual residence was 3232 Olive; he had been a resident of the state for 36 years. He was a laborer and was married at the time of death; the name of the spouse was not recorded. Principal cause of death was "Pulmonary Tuberculosis." Burial or removal was to be to St. Matthews on 28 February 1914. The undertaker was Smither & [W?]and[????], of 4233 Olive. Personal information provided by E. Roman, Hospital Information, of City Hospital. Frederick Hagler, M.D., of City Hospital, attended the deceased from 23 February 1914 to 25 February 1914 and signed the certificate on 26 February 1914. The certificate was filed with the local registrar on 26 February 1914.
