Andreas Jungermann; born in either 1824 or 1826. The earliest known written record of the birth date in the USA is the 1860 U.S. Census for Jefferson County, Missouri. Whether Elizabeth Urspurch was his mother is also not known with certainty.

Earl and Linwood believe strongly that the Jungermann familiy arrived in Kimmswick (Jefferson County), Missouri in the summer of 1855, although they have no documentation of this. Members of the family are connected with St. John's Lutheran Church of Beck, Jefferson County, Missouri.
