Notes: Fürstentum Waldeck und Pyrmont
1625 - Counties of Waldeck and Pyrmont united by inheritance. Separated briefly 1805-1812, but re-united again.
Jan. 1712 - Count of Waldeck and Pyrmont elevated to Prince.
1815 - became part of German Confederation.
1871 - became a constituent state of the new German Empire.
Following WWI, the Prince abdicated and Waldeck and Pyrmont became a free state in the Weimar Republic.
