According to information on his death certificate, Frederick had been a jeweler all his life and was retired at the time of his death.

Buried:
According to information on her death certificate, Frederick was buried in New St. Marcus Cemetery. Two years later, his wife, Pauline, would be laid to rest in the same cemetery. Peetz Brothers, of 3029 Lafayette Avenue, were in charge of both burials.

Died:
Frederick died at mid-morning at his home, 3524 Halliday Avenue, of a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the right temple.
