Died 10 January 1955, at 2:15 a.m., at Bland, rural Clay Township, Gasconade County, Missouri at the age of 68 years. August, a farmer, was married at the time of death to Emma Bentlage Block. Principal cause of death was "apoplexy." Antecedent cause was hypertension. No autopsy was performed. Burial was to be 12 January 1955 in Union Cemetery at Bland, Missouri. Undertaker: Milford H. H. Winter, of Owensville, Missouri. Personal information provided by Mrs. Emma Block, of Bland, Missouri. Medical data provided by C. A. Bunge, M.D., of Bland, Missouri, who signed the certificate on 11 January 1955. Filed with the local registrar on 12 January 1955.
