Erdman, son of Charles and Hulda Erdman, and Lou Ella Meinershagen, daughter of John and Minnie Meinershagen; married "in 1926 at the parsonage of the Salem Evangelical Reformed Church by the Rev. Theo. Hauck. It snowed so hard the afternoon of their wedding that the dinner guests, at the home of the brides' parents, had to be transported to their homes by horse and wagon - the cars of the era could not get through the snow!"
