The Certificate of Marriage, signed by Rev. Bernard Sproll and filed in Fillmore County, certifies that the marriage took place at Geneva, Nebraska on 19 June 1916. It should be noted that the entire document contains numerous contradictions relating to dates and places. Nevertheless, it seems fairly certain that the marriage occurred in 1916, not 1919.
